Analysis Choosing a hardware engineer after an operations CEO is a signal about **product physicality**. It is not a guarantee of faster AI software. It is not a guarantee of a new category. It is evidence that Apple's board wanted continuity inside the company and expertise in devices that still produce most of the revenue.
